Startup Runway Calculator
How many months until the bank account hits zero? Enter cash and monthly burn — optionally revenue with a growth rate — and get your run-out date, a month-by-month cash table, and what happens if you cut burn. Everything runs in your browser.
About this tool
Simple runway math (cash ÷ burn) breaks down the moment revenue is growing, so this calculator iterates month by month instead: revenue compounds at your growth rate, net burn shrinks, and the run-out date moves accordingly. If revenue overtakes expenses before the cash runs out, you are default alive and runway is effectively infinite. The exact formulas are printed above so you can check any row by hand.
The amber rows mark your final six months of cash — the conventional wisdom is to start fundraising at least six months before zero, because a round typically takes three to six months to close. This is a planning aid built on your estimates, not a financial forecast. Nothing you type leaves the page.
