Product Roadmap Prioritization (RICE)

Score every candidate feature by Reach, Impact, Confidence, and Effort. The ranking recomputes and re-sorts live, your list autosaves in this browser, and you can export the table as markdown. Nothing is uploaded.

RICE = (Reach × Impact × Confidence) ÷ Effort Reach how many users/customers this touches per quarter (a real count) Impact 3 = massive · 2 = high · 1 = medium · 0.5 = low · 0.25 = minimal Confidence 100% = solid data · 80% = some data · 50% = gut feel Effort total person-weeks across product, design, and engineering

About this tool

RICE is the prioritization framework popularized by the Intercom product team: reach and impact estimate the upside, confidence discounts optimism, and dividing by effort rewards small bets with outsized payoff. Its real value is less the number and more the argument it forces — you can't score a feature without stating who it reaches, what it changes, and how sure you are, which is exactly the debate a roadmap meeting should have.

The scores are only as honest as the estimates behind them, and a 240 is not meaningfully better than a 220 — treat the output as tiers, not a strict order, and let strategy override the math when it should. Your list is saved in this browser's localStorage only; nothing is sent to any server.
