Text Similarity Checker
Paste 2–5 texts and get a TF-IDF cosine similarity matrix — how much word overlap each pair shares. Everything runs in your browser, nothing is uploaded.
About this tool
This is TF-IDF lexical similarity, not neural embeddings. Each text becomes a weighted bag of words (common English stopwords removed, rare-across-texts words weighted up), and pairs are scored with cosine similarity. That means it catches word overlap well — near-duplicates, paraphrases that reuse vocabulary, shared topics — but it cannot see deep meaning: "the movie was great" and "the film was excellent" share almost no words and will score low, even though a real embedding model would call them close.
All computation is plain JavaScript running on this page. Your texts never leave your device — there is no server, no upload, and no tracking of tool inputs.
